STEP INTO YOUR CALLING
TRAIN FOR MINISTRY
FURTHER THE CHURCH
We are looking for the most committed, faith-filled, passionate young adults (ages 18-25) who are ready to step into their calling and use their skills for ministry to join us this Spring in beautiful San Clemente, California. The Zion Spring Internship is a 3-month leadership immersion program, designed to help you grow as a person through pastoral mentorship, and be stretched out of your comfort zone through hands-on ministry experience.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
1. The Zion Spring Internship is part time (roughly 20hrs weekly).
2. Start Date: January 19 / End Date: April 18.
3. Program Cost: $500.
WHEN WILL I HEAR IF I WAS ACCEPTED?
All applicants will be contacted within two weeks after submitting their application. Applicants will be accepted throughout the year up until the internship start date.
IS THERE A COST FOR THE INTERNSHIP?
Yes. The cost for the Spring program is $500, which will cover the applicant’s program expenses including resources, activities and "family meals." This fee is due upon claiming your spot in the Zion Spring Internship, and it is non-refundable.
IS THE INTERNSHIP INTENDED FOR A SPECIFIC AGE RANGE/LIFE STAGE?
Yes. The internship program is geared toward individuals in the college/young adult age range (ages 18-25). This internship is perfect for a college-aged student that is taking classes locally, or online, or someone in their gap-year. The program also could work well for an individual recently out of college, working a part-time job, and would like more hands-on ministry experience. We're accepting both single and married applicants.
CAN I HOLD AN OUTSIDE JOB WHILE INTERNING?
Yes. Although, we ask that you make the Zion Internship your priority during the 3-months you are in the program. The internship involves many late hours and last-minute schedule changes. If you feel that you cannot fully commit to this internship during this time, please wait to apply for another internship season. If you are concerned about finances during your time in the internship, we recommend you begin saving six months in advance of the program start date.
ARE INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS ELIGIBLE?
Yes. We advise all interested international parties to research their country’s legal restrictions on visas, traveling, and working abroad. Please have all necessary government forms and allowances confirmed before claiming and paying for a spot in the internship program, as the cost of the program is non-refundable.
IS ACCOMMODATION COVERED BY ZION?
No. Once accepted, we are happy to assist interns with finding appropriate housing to the best of our ability. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of each applicant to ensure they have a place to live for the duration of the Internship Program.
DO I NEED A CAR?
Yes. Each intern will have responsibilities that require them to have guaranteed mobility.
WHAT DOES A NORMAL WEEK LOOK LIKE?
Interns agree to a mandatory time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week (Sunday – Thursday). Once an intern’s area of ministry and specific position are decided, they will be provided with more information on what a typical week entails.
DO I NEED A LAPTOP COMPUTER?
Yes. Your weekly responsibilities will require you to work from a laptop computer.
